O-Shot®

At Leawood Total Wellness, the $1,300 O-Shot® treatment includes your consultation with Khyati Kapur, PA-C, the PRP procedure, and a three-month follow-up.

On the day of treatment, you'll complete the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI), a questionnaire that helps document your sexual wellness symptoms and establish a baseline. Approximately three months later, you'll complete the questionnaire again and have a follow-up phone conversation directly with Khyati to discuss your experience and any changes you've noticed.

Hormone evaluation and hormone therapy are separate services and are not included in the O-Shot treatment price.

Khyati begins with a personalized consultation to understand your symptoms, medical history, and treatment goals. She reviews your FSFI questionnaire responses, asks about previous treatments, and considers whether your concerns are longstanding or have developed more recently.

She also discusses relevant medical and surgical history, along with other personal factors that may affect sexual wellness or urinary function.

Because these symptoms can have multiple causes, the consultation helps determine whether the O-Shot is an appropriate option to consider or whether another evaluation or treatment may be more suitable.

Khyati generally discusses a 6–12-week timeframe when reviewing potential changes following the O-Shot.

However, individual experiences vary, and improvement is not guaranteed. Research on PRP injections for female sexual function and urinary leakage remains limited, so there is no scientifically established timeline for results.

At approximately three months, you'll complete a follow-up FSFI questionnaire and speak directly with Khyati about any changes you've noticed, whether your concerns have improved, and what next steps may be appropriate.

Not necessarily. The need for additional treatment depends on your individual experience, symptoms, and goals.

Khyati may discuss a repeat procedure if you report some improvement but continue to experience concerns. However, there is no established number of O-Shot treatments that guarantees a particular outcome.

During your three-month follow-up, Khyati reviews your response and discusses whether additional treatment, another type of care, or further evaluation may be appropriate.

Khyati recommends several preparation steps before your O-Shot procedure:

• Avoid drinking alcohol the night before your appointment.
• Stay well hydrated to support blood collection for PRP preparation.
• Avoid douching before treatment.
• Avoid vaginal tampon use before the procedure, following the clinic's specific timing instructions.
• When possible, schedule your appointment outside your menstrual period.

Be sure to tell Khyati about any medications, relevant medical conditions, or other concerns before your appointment. Do not stop prescribed medications unless your prescribing clinician instructs you to do so.

You'll receive any additional preparation instructions specific to your treatment.

No. Hormone therapy is not automatically required before an O-Shot procedure.

However, Khyati strongly encourages patients to consider whether hormonal changes may be contributing to symptoms such as vaginal dryness, discomfort, or changes in sexual wellness.

Some patients are already receiving hormone therapy through another provider, while others may benefit from discussing whether a hormone evaluation is appropriate.

Khyati considers your overall health and treatment history when helping you explore your options. Hormone evaluation and treatment are separate from the O-Shot and are not included in the $1,300 procedure price.
